Privacy Policy

Welcome to LMU Paddock. This platform is a non-profit, community-driven project created for sim racing enthusiasts. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal data you share with us.

• Account data: email address and hashed password.
• Profile data: driver alias, country, hardware setup and ratings.
• Telemetry data: lap times, vehicle choices and session statistics.
• Security & network data: we collect your IP address during login and telemetry sync to protect the platform against abuse.

We use your data exclusively to provide and secure the LMU Paddock service:

• To authenticate your identity and display your profile.
• To generate global leaderboards.
• Fraud prevention: IP addresses are used to identify and block malicious actors, spambots or users who violate our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

We use Supabase (EU-based servers) for hosting. Your IP address is stored in an encrypted database and is only accessible by platform administrators for security audits.

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your data. Using the "Delete my account" feature will remove all personal data, including stored IP logs associated with your account, within 48 hours.

Direct and team messages are stored in our database so conversations persist between sessions. They are private to the participants and are not used for advertising or sold to third parties.

• Messages are visible to the participants of a conversation.
• Moderation access: if a conversation is reported, platform administrators may read its messages to investigate the report. Participants see an in-thread notice while a report is active.
• Deleting your account removes your messages and message metadata associated with your account.
