1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your browser or device by websites and apps. They are used to remember your session and ensure the platform functions correctly during your visit.
2. How We Use Cookies
Because LMU Paddock is a community-driven platform without advertisers, our use of cookies is strictly limited to essential functionality. We do not use third-party tracking, targeting, or advertising cookies.
Strictly Necessary Cookies (Supabase)
We use Supabase for authentication. These encrypted session cookies keep you logged in while you navigate your dashboard or use the Companion App. Without these, the cockpit cannot function.
Preference Cookies
We use a small local storage item (`lmu_cookie_consent`) to remember that you have dismissed the cookie notification banner.
3. Security & Network Identifiers
In addition to cookies, we process network identifiers (IP addresses) for security and platform integrity.
- Anti-Abuse: We log IP addresses during telemetry synchronization to identify and prevent fraudulent data uploads.
- Access Control: If a network identifier is found to be associated with malicious activity, access to the infrastructure may be restricted via an automated blacklist.
4. Managing Your Cookies
You can choose to reject essential cookies via your browser settings, but please note that you will no longer be able to log in or access the LMU Paddock command center.
